Funding & Eligibility

We work with families to make the Adult ABA Program financially accessible, and many of our clients use a combination of funding sources to cover services.

We accept:

  • DDD funding (Division of Developmental Disabilities)
  • Medicaid HMO
  • Private pay
  • Hybrid combinations, such as DDD plus private pay, or Medicaid plus private pay, depending on what your plan covers

Most clients in the program are 21 and older receiving DDD funding. We’re also able to work with individuals under 21 who have a qualifying diagnosis, evaluated on a case-by-case basis. If you’re not sure whether your family member qualifies, reach out and we’ll walk through it with you.

Support Beyond the Program

Adult ABA Program clients and their families also have access to GBS’s ancillary services, designed to support the whole family, not just the person in program:

Yes. The Adult Day Program is available at both our West Long Branch and Forked River clinics, Monday through Friday from 8:45 AM to 2:45 PM. Clients are paired one-on-one with a team member for the full day, Monday through Friday from 8:45 AM to 2:45 PM. Each day is structured around the client’s individual goals, and includes a mix of skill-building, community involvement, and paid or volunteer work experience through our local business and nonprofit partnerships.

Most of our clients are 21 and older and receive DDD funding, since DDD services in New Jersey are generally available at that age. That said, we’re able to accept clients under 21 with a qualifying diagnosis, evaluated case by case. Contact us to talk through your family member’s specific situation.

We partner with local businesses and nonprofits to offer both paid and volunteer opportunities. These placements are chosen to match each client’s interests and skill level, giving them real-world experience while working toward greater independence.

Yes. Alongside the Adult Day Program, we offer ancillary services including sleep coaching, health and wellness coaching, and relationships and sexuality support. These are available to clients and their families to help support the whole household, not just the person in our program.
